Sifu Brand has martial arts experience going back nearly 40 years. For more than 20 years he has devoted himself to the study and development of WingChun and in the past decade he has re-structured the system to make it not just a formidable self-defence art, but also a clear and logical system throughout which runs a series of Principles.
Sifu Brand now travels extensively to teach WingChun and we are very fortunate to be able to host his visits to the UK three times a year. All of our students are welcome to attend his seminars where they are sure to be inspired. Sifu Brand is not only an amazing martial artist, but also an approachable teacher.
UK Head Instructors Sifu Tony Hollander and Sifu Ed Pettitt are both private students of Grandmaster Brand and in addition to his visits to the UK they regularly travel to Germany for training to ensure that their own knowledge is continually growing.
The quality of our WingChun system means that the International Academy of WingChun is growing. In 2010 alone, new schools were opened in Namibia, Italy, France and Malaysia. Grandmaster Brand personally oversees the training of the Head Instructors in all countries.
